Frequently Asked Questions

Our detector analyzes multiple technical signals from a website, including meta tags, script sources, CSS links, HTML attributes, and unique identifiers. Each website builder leaves distinct "fingerprints" in the code. We compare these patterns against our database of 25+ website builders to identify which platform was used. The detection typically takes just a few seconds and provides a confidence score based on the number of matches found.
Our detector is highly accurate for major website builders. We assign confidence levels: High (3+ pattern matches), Medium (2 matches), and Low (1 match). High confidence detections are typically 95%+ accurate. Some custom-coded websites or heavily modified themes may be harder to detect accurately. If no builder is detected, the site is likely custom-coded or using a platform we don't currently support.
We currently detect 25+ popular website builders including: Wix, Webflow, Squarespace, Shopify, WordPress (and plugins like Elementor, Divi), BigCommerce, Duda, Unbounce, GoDaddy Website Builder, Hostinger, Square Online, HubSpot CMS, Bubble.io, Strikingly, SITE123, Tilda, Webnode, Zoho Sites, Carrd, Canva, and more. We're constantly adding support for new platforms based on user demand.
Yes, to ensure fair usage and system stability, we limit requests to 20 detections per hour from the same IP address. For most users, this is more than sufficient. If you need higher limits for professional or commercial use, please contact us about API key options that provide up to 100 requests per hour.
